L.Kent Wolgamott posted a great (in our opinion) review of Honor in today’s Lincoln Journal Star. A couple of phrases that jumped out are:

The Killigans are fixtures on the local scene and are known for delivering propulsive, passionate shows. With “Honor,” the six-piece band has made a record that lives up to what they do live.

and:

I’ve listened to “Honor” a handful of times in the past week and am more impressed each time I hear it.

It’s always great to read a positive review of an album (which we have been lucky to have a few) but it’s even more validating to us that Wolgamott mentioned that the album is indicative of our live shows. We’ve always felt like we are a live band, and have had some difficulty in recreating that energy and power in the studio.

We feel that Honor is our best album to date. We hope you like it too!

Yes, our long awaited 3rd full length “Honor” will be in stock at these shows. I just got word it will be here Tuesday. We cant wait. A little word on the album:

We spent about 3-4 months in the studio this summer/fall recording this thing. We spent the last 2 years writing it. I believe we started shortly after One Step Ahead of Hell was released. As with the last 2 albums the majority of the writing was done by Brad and myself (Chris). We really just wrote what we were feeling during this stretch in our lives. Sometimes serious, sometimes not, but we tried to give this album a little different vibe than the others, while still holding true to our core beliefs and writing styles. As always, you will find a mix of different things going on. Ben even threw in a track to keep me and Brad honest. Take this album for what its worth to you. I think there is something on there everyone can relate to and see themselves in, we like to hope so anyways.

The following weekend we will be doing a release show up in omaha at the slowdown…
