The killigans are back on stage this coming Friday, December 17th at Duffys Tavern in Lincoln NE.
Friday December 17th
Duffys Tavern, Lincoln NE
A Very, Very, Very, Merry Killigan Christmas Sweater Party
with special guests:
SOJH (smart assed/sarcastic pop punk)
Hold for Swank (pop punk from Ames)
and a very special appearance by
The Amazing Rob (magician extrordinaire!)
21 and over
Don your gayest apparel and come downtown for a night of coy fireside chats, fruit cakes, inappropriately worn mistletoe, missing Christmas bonuses, cozy companionship, egg nog, and crazy uncle Bobbys famous ‘secret horsey rides’. The only thing missing will be the occasional disfunctional family meltdown. We’ll see if we can take care of that on stage.
We learned a whole slew of holiday themed songs (half assed have you), and have a couple extra special prizes and gifts to give out to the people wearing the best sweaters, or whoever happens to pick them up off the floor at the end of the night.
This is taking the place of our usual New Years Eve show, so dont hold out for that one. Its not happening. Pat will be off in Ogallala that night, feeding less fortunate children (His own). We will be back at it again in 2011 so come down and wish eachother a merry x-mas and happy new year.
2010 was a great year for us as a band. I think a lot of us went through some big changes on and off the stage. Here are a couple that come to mind:
Brad finished his masters program and started his first ‘real’ job as a special education teacher.
Greg ran for county commisioner of Lancaster County AND had a baby.
Ben bought a house
I got a new position at work.
Trevor bought a new ‘band van’ and retired Frank the Tank.
Pat built a new deck and actually let us go on tour. But just for 6 days.
Released 3rd full length album Honor.
Closed deal to have “Lessons from the Empty Glass” used in Robin Hood starring Russel Crowe
made a video for “Honor”
Toured the Midwest in a big RV.
Lost our beloved trailer
Bought a new trailer
Played many a show.
made many a friend…
heres to 2011 and whatever it may bring..NOSTROVIA!!
